The People’s Health and Wellness Clinic (PHWC) has announced the 2026 Great Green Mountain Bob Dylan Wannabe Contest, returning this spring for an evening of music, laughter, and community generosity.
In a recent press release they said local musicians, fans, and friends are invited to “celebrate one of central Vermont’s most beloved music traditions” — all to raise funds for free primary and mental health care for uninsured and underinsured neighbors.
This year’s contest will take place Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Capital City Grange in Berlin, where local performers will compete to see who can best channel their inner Dylan. Musicians of all skill levels are encouraged to participate — cover a Dylan classic, put your own spin on it, and help the clinic reach its $5,000 fundraising goal. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for socialization and light refreshments.
In addition to the contest, there will be a silent auction featuring local art, restaurant certificates, and unique experiences — all proceeds go directly to the People Health and Wellness Clinic’s patient care programs.

Applications Open for Montpelier Community Fund
The Montpelier Community Fund Board is now accepting applications for Fiscal Year 2027.
In 2012, the Montpelier City Council established the Montpelier Community Fund to fund organizations and projects that benefit Montpelier residents. The city council appropriates money for the fund within its annual budget, which is voted on by residents at Town Meeting. The fund is administered by a five-person board of Montpelier residents, appointed by the city council. Grant availability for FY27 is contingent on voter approval on Town Meeting Day.
